The Mosaic House

Located in Chiswick, London, The Mosaic House is a private home and street art project initiated by artist Carrie Reichardt. Covered from top to bottom in mosaics, this house features contributions from some of the world’s best mosaic artists.

Reichardt began the project in the 1990s to escape the constraints of traditional art galleries, filling her home with political statements and memorials. One poignant tribute honors Luis Ramirez, a pen pal of Reichardt who was executed in Texas, with his prison ID card embedded in the mosaic.

In front of the house, even the cars are adorned with mosaic art, making it a truly immersive experience.
